Alan Carbonio

This is my first road bike. Got it as a birthday present in 1983. It was stiff and very good in sprinting. The bike was lost after an accident. I laid unconscious and somebody picked up the bike. Since then, I have never seen this beauty again! It was one of the only two Carbonio in Malaysia during that time. I just realized that Alan still makes Alan Carbonio.
Check it out!Spec:

Giant TCR ONCE

Ah my new pride and joy. This is my second road bike since the first one many years ago. Bought it sometime in July 2002. A very fast bike. Of course what, Team ONCE uses it to compete in Le Tour De France, what am I talking? It climbs well too, better than my once owned stiff carbon frame Alan Carbonio. Too bad the engine that drives it no longer as fit as it was 20 years ago, or it would be the best combo in the world!

Claud Butler Zagato

My first machine. Bought in 1998. My greatest regret is to sell her off! This is the machine that gives me the fastest DH time on Batu Kawan(4 minutes!). Due to long cockpit, it is very suitable for fast downhill. If I have a chance to buy the bike again, I would!

Diamondback Vectra SE

My second bike. Bought in 1999. Couldn't find it in the Diamondback homepage. It makes me wonder a while whether she is a real Diamandback bike or just a sticker stick-on until I read about her on UK MTB mag. This is a race machine. It takes me some time to get used to its shorter cockpit. I think it's probably the shorter stem. Anyway, a stiff bike. It climbs well but quite bumpy when play hard on downhill. Recently, I just spent big bucks on components to make it a sub 24lb race machine. Is the money well spent? Well, it rides better, that's for sure!

VooDoo Erzulie

My third bike. Bought in May 2001. Got it from Gary shop at clearance price. VooDoo is not popular in Penang. I don't think it is popular in Malaysia as well! It weighs 28 lbs but feel lighter on both off and on roads. This bike flexes and the geometry fits me very well. I am so happy with it that I decide to buy another VooDoo few weeks later!

VooDoo Zobop

My fourth bike. Bought it a month after I bought the Erzulie. Gary must have cast a spell on me. Since I ride the Erzulie, I am hooked to VooDoo. This is a URT bike. The rear suspension is active all the time when seated. But when I stand up to pedal, it feels like a hardtail. The rear comes with RS Deluxe. It absorbs whatever stuff I give it but it bottoms up with annoying clunk. I am planning to change it to Cane Creek AD10, which according to the stuffs I have read on the Net, it improves the ride. Very eagle to go down fast. So it is a little bit psychotic. But once you get used to it, it really flies!
