What's Inside Tuesday Taylor's Head

This is a guide to the insides of a Tusday Taylor head with a twisty scalp. I have her disassembled for re-rooting. My doll already had her scalp torn off by a previous owner.

There is a kind of track running around the inside of her head that the "wheel" of the spinner attaches to. Mine was ripped out, and you can see where parts of the "wheel" are still glued to the track.

This is the spinner from both sides and several angles. It's made of a brittle hard plastic.

Here I'm partially inserting the spinner back into the head. In the third photo you can see the groove in the spinner that the top of the head should wrap around when fully inserted.

Here's the scalp by itself. The second photo shows it in relation to the rest of the parts.

Scalp and spinner side by side.

Spinner placed over the scalp in the position it should be in when inserted. There is a spike in the spinner that should go through the hole in the scalp.

If I were going to take the scalp off a unbroken TT, I'd warm the scalp with water, and then try to slowly peel the scalp off the top of the spinner. There's no glue holding the scalp to the top of the spinner.
