Writing under the midst of scrutiny
Despite my inept ability to master my English grammar, it does not seem to cease me from conveying my creativity through writing and through other mediums. I think I've started writing stories at the same time I started to draw (which was probably around 4 or 5 as far as I can remember, without my 'records of achievement' folder ~ English folks who have been to Primary School will know this)
When I write a story, I always have to develop the characters as fully as possible which is probably why I don't end up with a lot of finished stories (since I tend to change the personality and appearance of my characters once in a while…thus never final)
The first story I wrote and barely finished was 'Gangster's Zone' when I was 13. It was a basic boy versus girl in a school with paranormal powers. I think I had created about 20 characters but only a few had a somewhat distinct persona. The character I probably liked creating was the main 'bad' boy, Michael 'Mike' Dicaprio (ha ha! Dicaprio!? I was once a tweed…probably still am but meh!). He was an orphan who was taken in by the Diniz In which he, N.J and P.J all attended the same school but never got along. Somehow along the lines, he became more distant and evil and hatred grew inside poor Mike especially with his spat with another character, Nina Marsita. Then a 'battle' waged with the teachers who doesn't give much of a hoot before the year ended.
It was a crap story which I was think was never completely finished but it was enjoyable at the time.
Most inspirations to write stories come to me in dreams sometimes, in which some were lucky enough to be sketched down on paper. 'Soul Searcher' was an example of a story created from this one quite vivid dream. The story was never finished but it was supposed to be a saga about a girl with phenomenal powers but had to go all around the world just to find the one person she truly loved (with some evil demons to kick around along the way). I think I wrote that when I was 15 but maybe one day I'll finish it one day.
Asides from the RP boards at Neopets where sometimes (not a lot now) I go and test out my characters which might be used for stories and trying to have some leisurely fun along the way. However, one story has sprung from these boards and hopefully will be continued soon.
The current story I am working on now is called 'The route of the songbird'
