Drawing have been a hobby of mine since the age of five (well…that's how far back I seem to remember). I can't seem to remember what actually inspired me to draw but it might have been associated with writing stories.
The very first drawings were extremely primitive and probably much worse than stick figures or blobby men, but I thought they were hilarious so I continued to draw them…to the age of around seven.
By then, I think I was starting to draw 'fan arts' of things that I liked like Final Fantasy and Bomberman (The game where tiny little dudes in helmets and looked quite rounded plant cute little bombs to try and eliminate their opponents)
The people I drew were wholly unanatomised because I had no foundation // knowledge of drawing people or studied anatomy but the folks at my school really like 'my work of art' (creepy) though in my heart, I was never satisfied
Then, I stopped drawing at around 14 // 15 to focus more on basketball and studying. The drawings therefore remained grotesquely unanatomised and there was no shadings whatsoever.
Thus, it was by no surprise that by two years later, where I picked up the pencil and started drawing again, I felt quite bitter in my kind of art. So by judging from my graphic coursework for G.C.S.E, I wanted to improve vastly on my artworks and two and a half years onward, I think I am slowly improving.
Although I have since the end of last year haven't really drawn anything constructive suggests that if I ever manage to draw again that it will begin quite rusty...who knows what I'll create next
Personally, I think I am far better with my graphic skills and drawing conceptually rather than what I currently draw…something along the lines of what I did for my coursework which was mainly Bauhaus and Kandinsky. However, I don't think I've actually grasped that until now. Hopefully, I'll continue to improve my kind of art and my kind of graphic making although I must say that the anatomy of a person that I've drawn more recently have improved.
Perhaps, the beauty of art and graphics is that there is really no perfection as we all view things differently with our eyes but popularity kind of clouds that concept.
