Currently i am working as a Quality Assurance Specialist for a
multinational company based in Japan. But prior to assuming the position
of a QAS, i was a Software Engineer for 3 years, my tasks included the design,
implementation and debugging of various systems, ranging from various PDL
emulations to embedded systems device drivers. Lately, i was assigned as
the QA Lead of the Bluetooth development being undertaken by the company.
My role as the QA Lead, is to partly manage the test process, create test
systems, and test the product. Recently, have been assigned as the Tech Lead
for the project.
I will be 6 years in the company this July 2!
I am also a Systems Administrator. As an SA i manage machines and
boxens ranging from the headache-laden Windows machines, Win95 up to
Win2K, FreeBSD boxens, OpenBSD boxens, Sun, Solaris boxens and a couple
of Linux machines.
Travel has been part of my profession, being employed by one of the
largest printer makers i have been assigned to partake in many different
projects abroad. I love Japan! So beautiful, so advanced, very enchanting.
I have'nt been back for almost a year, and miss her. I've also seen, though
only once, the Space Needle in Seattle. We attended a Bluetooth Unplugfest.
(This is the trip we call "Sleepless in Seattle"!!!, any guesses?)
I have plans of someday teaching computer related courses in my old
alma mater, UST. Maybe teach OS fundamentals, programming in the UNIX
environment, data structures, or even fundamentals of programming
languages. (awww, it seems that this wont push through, UST just cancelled
all Saturday classes)
