Recreio Hockey Newsletter - January 2004

So, did you get everything you wished for this past Christmas? We hope so. How about New Year's resolutions? If you'd like to share them, we'd love to hear from you. Let us know by writing to recreio_newsletter@graffiti.net. One of mine is to try and lose 2 to 3 inches around my gut before my wedding later this year.

With Christmas and New Year celebrations over with, we now look forward to the second half of the 2003-04 season, but first, we would like to congratulate Manny Pinto, Nelson Chiu, and Edo Sousa, all of whom said "I do" last month. Believe it or not, Omar Chan also tied the knot, in November. Well done, chaps.

A couple of months ago, we offered our reflections on women. This month, we thought you might enjoy a few thoughts about the other important people in our lives - our children.

Surfing the Internet

Spam! Not the canned meat, but the unwanted e-mail that chokes your mailbox so that genuine messages can't get through. A surprising number of people are still unaware of the severity of this menace, so we would like to present a short article on how bad it's become, and how we can protect ourselves.

Match Results

The match results can be found on the two fixtures pages, fixtures by date and fixtures by team. Scores and goal-scorers will be listed on these two pages. There is also a separate page listing the goal scorers and the number of goals they have so far scored.

The tables page will show you at a glance how each of the five teams is doing. The two fixtures pages, scorers, and tables will be updated on a regular basis.

Time for a Chuckle

This month, we would like to thank Henrique Souza for his contribution to the lighter side of the English language. This is best viewed in the Internet Explorer browser, version 5.5 or higher.
