| Welcome to the recently-christened official fan club for Bardic Wind and Barely Balanced, a fabulously talented pair (for the moment) of jugglers, stilt walkers, singers, acrobats, and comedians! It's difficult to appreciate how multi-talented and engaging this little band of entertainers is unless you see them first hand, but once is all it takes.
I was lucky enough to get to spend six weeks watching them work the streets of the Great Lakes Medieval Faire in summer 2004. Unfortunately, being a cast member, I was unable to catch any of their stage shows (cast couldn't watch shows they weren't in) but it seemed like no matter where I turned during the day, there they were, risking their butts (and other similarly tender parts of their anatomy) to get a laugh. I was so impressed that I did something I've never done before... I started a fan page. And here we are. Since I originally started this page, a year has passed, and inevitably things have changed. I myself am a member of a working faire-circuit act known as Gypsys Beshalde. In fall 2005, Brandon Detty (often known to fans as Harry Potter) got married and left the group, leaving only two boys, the originators, Brandon Kamp and Cameron Tomele. The acrobatic show that most of us are familiar with was renamed Barely Balanced, leaving Bardic Wind as the title of their Song & Story show. Still, no matter where they go, they have loyal fans and followers and are gaining new ones all the time! I will be spending some time in the upcoming month(s) making this page more interesting and interactive, but for starters, I've fixed up a registry. Are you a Bardic Wind/Barely Balanced fan? Then tell the world! All you have to do to join the club is sign the registry. No strings attached. Therefore, without further ado, I invite any who have seen their wonderfulness and have been similarly impressed to join me in the first unofficial Bardic Wind/Barely Balanced fan club! |
