You have reached the new home and name of Evolution IT Recycling also known previously as Revolution IT Recycling and before that as Beswick Recycling Project.

We will continue to exist exactly as we did before, nothing has changed regarding what we do or how we work.

Do your bit for the environment and the community, recycling is the word of today. Everyone and especially businesses need to know about and adhere to the WEEE Directive and the The RoHS Directive. Why should you care, well it is now LAW. Your lack of knowledge and adherance could mean hefty recycling bills, and you could be prosecuted for failing to comply.

The WEEE Directive aims to reduce the quantity of waste from electrical and electronic equipment and increase its re-use, recovery and recycling. The Directive affects producers, distributors and recyclers of electrical and electronic equipment - including household appliances, IT and telecoms equipment, audiovisual equipment (TV, video, hi-fi), lighting, electrical and electronic tools, toys, leisure and sports equipment.

The RoHS Directive stands for "the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment". This Directive bans the placing on the EU market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than agreed levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants.

A website with useful information can be found here here, its main aim is to simplify and answer questions with regards to WEEE and RoHS directives.

We will happily accept donations of old Computer Equipment and check, rebuild if neccessary and give them a new lease of life by reintegrating them back into the community. People on low income, students, schools, training centres etc will benefit from there use and so will the environment.
